Insurance Questions

  • How do I pay for my treatment?
Payment is required at the completion of each individual treatment. We accept payment by cash, major credit cards and cheques.
  • Can I pay using my health insurance?
We can assist with completion of your health insurance claim forms, but please note we do not have any direct billing arrangements with any insurance providers. Please talk to your private health fund prior to your treatment so that you are fully aware of your entitlements, restriction and any out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Are Pilates classes covered on insurance?
Health insurers can only pay a benefit when the service provided is intended to address or improve a specific health or medical condition as part of a chronic disease or health management program. In most cases they do not include pilates within this description but please check with your provider for your specific policy detail.
  • Do you provide direct billing?
We are a pay and claim clinic, therefore at this stage we do not currently offer direct billing. We are in the process of changing this procedure so that we can offer direct billing to our patients for most health insurance providers. Please check here for updates, regarding when this is expected to take place.
  • Do I need a referral?
To receive treatment at our clinic you do not need to present a referral letter. However, if you are using insurance, you may need a GP referral before your insurance company will cover the costs of your treatment. This is normally dependent upon your individual policy, therefore you will need to check with your provider what you are covered for prior to proceeding with a booking. You can see one of our doctors first for your initial assessment, who can then provide you with this referral letter. Otherwise, if you prefer to use your personal doctor, you can obtain a referral letter and then continue your treatment with us. Even if you are not using insurance, it is normally recommended to see one of our doctors first so that they can discuss with you the best course of treatment for your individual needs.
  • What do I need from you to claim on my insurance?
Most health insurance providers require a signed and stamped insurance claim form. Your clinician will complete this for you during your consultation. Your provider will also need the receipt to show proof of payment for your session, which our reception will provide once you have paid at the start or end of your session. Should your provider require more information, please let reception or the clinician know and we will endeavor to provide what we can in order for you to have a smooth reimbursement process.
  • Do you provide claim forms?
Yes, we provide insurance claim forms for most health insurance providers, so you do not need to bring your own.
  • Do I need a claim form for every session?
Most health insurance providers require a claim form for each individual session, so that they can cross check the consultation with the payment date. Please check what your provider requires before proceeding with a booking.
