Dr Robert Kempers

Consultant Sports Medicine

Dr Kempers is a Sports Medicine Consultant with a special interest in exercise physiology and human movement. Alongside his position at UPANDRUNNING, he remains as medical coordinator and physician of the Dutch National Cycling Federation, for which he was the Team NL physician for the London and Rio Olympics and the 2014 European Games. He was a past team physician for UCI ProTour teams such Team LottoNL - Jumbo and Argos-Shimano. Dr Kempers treats all musculoskeletal concerns such as neck-shoulder pain, back pain, headache, hip, knee and foot problems. He also consults on performance loss, altitude training as a tool to improve condition and rehabilitation after inactivity, operation or illness. As a competitive triathlete, he has an interest in all sports and is particularly interested the mechanics of human movement – completing both Biomedical Health Science and Physical Therapy degrees. Dr Kempers speaks English, French, Dutch and German.

Dr Ramzy Ross

Head of Strategy and Head of Performance and Health Sciences

Dr Ross is very passionate on bridging the gap between medicine, health & human performance sciences (such as physiology, sport & exercise science, biomechanics, nutrition) and coaching with a view of providing better health and physical performance outcomes to clients. His often holistic, approach combines the latest in technologies & research, across these disciplines, to health and performance monitoring, injury reduction as well as physical performance enhancement programmes. Passionate about helping individuals & teams deliver in high-performance environments, he is also a strong advocate of the ‘Exercise is Medicine’ approach in order to help people lead healthier lives and reduce disease risk. His experiences range from supporting Olympic gold & World Champion athletes, working with international footballers, providing specialist input into sporting & medical organisations and supporting high-performance endurance athletes

Rebecca Monk

Physiotherapist

Rebecca graduated from the Manchester School of Physiotherapy in 2002 then worked in the NHS both in the adult and paediatric setting. Rebecca moved to New Zealand in 2011 where she worked in private multi-disciplinary clinics treating a wide and varied caseload of acute and chronic MSK pathologies and conditions. Rebecca has a special clinical interest in treating hand and upper limb conditions whilst taking a hands-on approach to delivering patient-focused treatment utilizing manual therapy, soft tissue release, dry needling, and taping. With a passion for sports, she has treated rugby players at local club and professional level and has provided Physiotherapy at the New Zealand PGA on two occasions. A passionate runner, cyclist, and triathlete herself she takes a special interest in treating endurance athletes. She also incorporates Pilates-based rehabilitation into her approach to treatment.
