Kate graduated from University College Cork and completed her Masters at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, as well as postgraduate courses in dry needling and APPI Pilates. Continuing education forms a large part of her professional development, to ensure best practice is delivered to her patients. As a clinician, Kate has a strong focus on manual therapy, Clinical Pilates based rehabilitation, exercise specific rehabilitation and pre/post-operative management. She has an IRFU certification in pitch side traumatology with extensive experience in supporting rugby teams in Ireland. Locally she works with various Dubai based rugby teams

Marianne Tafani is an internationally recognised, highly qualified pilates trainer, coach and instructor. Often referred to as a "core-function expert” Marianne’s expertise extends to anything core related, pelvic floor, pre and post natal, injury rehab, lower back pain and sciatica and scoliosis corrective exercise programmes. Marianne offers UPANDRUNNING clients with a range of individual and group pilates classes, which aim to improve core stability, strength and posture. Marianne also runs post natal abdominal recovery courses and Diastasis Recti repair programmes, which is another area she specialises in. Marianne is passionate about the benefits that clinical pilates can have for people of all ages and abilities. “For me the benefits of Pilates numerous and multi faceted. The most well known are improved flexibility, core strength and posture. But it’s also incredibly effective for general toning, injury rehab and also to help with the prevention of injuries.”

Matt Marney has worked in the health and fitness space for 17 years. Before joining UAR he spent 12 years managing a gymnasium and studio within a large orthopaedic clinic in the UK. Matt’s areas of expertise and experience include personal training, studio pilates, children’s weight management schemes, post rehabilitation referrals, functional restoration programmes, stroke rehabilitation and teaching a range of group fitness classes. Matt has a real passion for teaching and learning and he has spent the last 8 years as a tutor and assessor for leading Fitness and Pilates training providers in the UK, and this is a role he continues in the Middle East. Matt is available for 1 to 1 sessions in the pilates studio and runs group matwork and studio classes, including the 4 week ‘Intro to Pilates' course. He also brings his experience as a fitness educator to the education team at UAR offering a range of different courses and education to our patients.

Rebecca graduated from the Manchester School of Physiotherapy in 2002 then worked in the NHS both in the adult and paediatric setting. Rebecca moved to New Zealand in 2011 where she worked in private multi-disciplinary clinics treating a wide and varied caseload of acute and chronic MSK pathologies and conditions. Rebecca has a special clinical interest in treating hand and upper limb conditions whilst taking a hands-on approach to delivering patient-focused treatment utilizing manual therapy, soft tissue release, dry needling, and taping. With a passion for sports, she has treated rugby players at local club and professional level and has provided Physiotherapy at the New Zealand PGA on two occasions. A passionate runner, cyclist, and triathlete herself she takes a special interest in treating endurance athletes. She also incorporates Pilates-based rehabilitation into her approach to treatment.

She has vast experience in Adult Neurological Rehabilitation and has developed a strong clinical interest in Concussion management in sport. She has linked up with the leaders in field of sport concussion management to help provide a comprehensive, patient centered, evidence-based service from initial injury management through rehabilitation and save return to sport. Tania believes in safe sporting practice underpinned by education of the team surrounding the athlete.
