Movement efficiency is key to all sporting activities and golf is no exception. In golf, we aim to combine a sequence of very complex, novel movements repetitively to create the perfect swing. With this complexity, sometimes things can go wrong.
Injuries in golf are common. Research suggests up to 60% of professional golfers experience some form of injury in a season. In the amateur ranks this figure is around 40%.
MINIMIZE THE RISK OF INJURY
We can limit the risk of injury by preparing our bodies for the demands of playing golf. A Golf Biomechanical Assessment enables our physiotherapist to evaluate your swing and the key components that affect it comprising; body position and imbalances, muscular mobility and flexibility, timing, force transfer, speed of swing, and strength to maintain this level of activity over an extended period.
Information capture during the screening is used to then target areas for improvement more objectively. Better mobility and movement not only reduces the risk of injury but also drives enhanced performance.
Book a consultation with a certified Titleist medical professional inclusive of a full biomechanical assessment of your swing and finally an in-depth appraisal and advice on how to develop and adapt to reach your peak performance. You will be supplied with a detailed diagnostic report of the findings and specialized recommendations to target areas for improvement, develop your swing and reduce the risk of injury.
