Tomás is a highly qualified clinician with a strong educational background and extensive
experience in sports and exercise. He earned an Honor’s Degree in Sports and Exercise from
Cork Institute of Technology, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Rehabilitation at
St. Mary's University, Twickenham. He furthered his education by completing a Masters in
Physiotherapy at University College Cork.
Throughout his career, Tomás has worked with a diverse range of teams, contributing his
expertise as a team physio for the Cork u20 footballers and as an assistant physio for the Cork
Senior footballers. In addition to his sports roles, he dedicated his time as a Primary Care
Physiotherapist for the HSE in Ireland, providing comprehensive care to a wide array of
patients, including those with musculoskeletal injuries and neurological conditions.
Tomás has developed a particular passion for lower limb injuries and facilitating a safe return to
play. His specialization extends to areas such as hips, knees (including ligament and meniscal
injuries), ankles (covering sprains and post-operative care), and shoulders (addressing issues
like RC strains, ACJ problems, and labral tears).
