There is no way around the fact that, when it comes to burning more fat, you have to work at it. There is no magic exercise, workout, or pill that will do the job for you. The good news is that it does not take much activity to push the body into that fat-burning mode as long as your diet is aligned with your activity and sleep patterns.
At UPANDRUNNING we have created The Metabolic Weight Loss Program, designed to drive down the kilos when you fully commit to it. Science is at the heart of our program and most importantly, metabolism. Everyone’s metabolism is different which is why some people lose weight easily and some struggle with exercise and diet with little success. Metabolic tests and analysis allow our resident expert nutritionists and physiologists to handcraft a personal program to ensure that your schedule delivers results for you.
Your tailored plan runs for a duration of six weeks.

Metabolism is measured by determining how much oxygen your body consumes over a specific amount of time. Fat loss is only achievable when you can get your body to use your calorie intake as fuel. The foundation of your diet to achieve your weight goals is more effective when you balance energy macros across the timing of your meals, type of activities and calorie intake over the day and week. This Metabolic Resting Rate test provides an estimate of the number of calories you burn when your body is at complete rest and at UPANDRUNNING, measuring your metabolism is our preferred test and guide to creating a bespoke dietary plan.
A VO2 Max involves testing your metabolic rate during different stages of exercise—also called an aerobic capacity test (maximum volume of oxygen) test. The exercise test gives you information about the intensity levels at which your body uses oxygen (and burns fat) more or less efficiently.
An accurate body composition measurement is the only way to gauge body composition changes and keep you motivated about your gains and losses; weight is not an indication of fat loss. At UPANDRUNNING we use electrodes and Biacorpus testing to analyze body composition. This enables our nutritionists to understand the body and its core components: fat, protein, minerals, and body water. The Biacorpus test is a non-evasive procedure that measures body water, fat-free mass, fat mass and percentage and extracellular water. Biacorpus testing provides an accurate insight into your overall health and in turns allows for the creation of a more detailed nutrition and fitness program that builds muscle and reduces fat.
