Dr. Gustavo completed his medical training in Spain, holding his LMF medical licence from Madrid, before going on to achieve his qualifications in Manual Medicine and Medical Osteopathy in France. His extensive academic development includes a Master’s in Sports Medicine (2007), a Master’s in Pain Management (2008), postgraduate diplomas in Ozone Therapy and MSK Ultrasonography, and an IOC Diploma in Sports Medicine. In 2023, he was awarded Diplomate Membership to the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine, UK, one of the most respected credentials in the field.

Dr. Gus brings a genuinely unique dual expertise to UPANDRUNNING, seamlessly combining osteopathic principles with allopathic medical pain management to deliver holistic, patient-centred care. His approach is innovative yet conservative: where possible, he avoids surgery, instead harnessing the latest advances in regenerative therapies, targeted pain management, and high-resolution ultrasound-guided intervention to deliver tailored treatment plans that manage pain, support rehabilitation, and maximise recovery with minimal downtime.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Gus is a passionate educator, delivering lectures and seminars internationally on a regular basis. He is also deeply embedded in the UAE’s baseball community, actively playing, umpiring, and serving as the go-to physician for both national and local league players, including the Dubai Little League.
